Environmental Effects of Current and Proposed Lead Mining in Southern Missouri
description: This is a multi-Discipline, multi-year project to evaluate environmental effects of current lead mining activities in the southern Missouri (the Viburnum Trend mining disrict) and to evaluate the potential for adverse environmental effects in potential future mining areas. FY2003 is the third year of a six-year project plan for geologic, hydrologic, and biologic investigations, to be conducted primarily by the USGS Missouri District (WRD), the Central Region Minerals Program (GD), and the Columbia Environmental Research Center (BRD).
